If You’re Using Electric Baseboard Heaters or an Electric Furnace — We Can Help You Upgrade

Are you still heating your home with electric resistance heating like baseboard heaters or an electric furnace? You may qualify for up to $12,000 in rebates—or even a completely free heat pump system—thanks to FortisBC’s Income-Qualified Heat Pump Rebate Program.

Switching to a high-efficiency heat pump can drastically cut your electricity bills, provide year-round comfort, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions—all at zero cost to you if you qualify.

🏡 What’s the Offer?

FortisBC is offering up to $12,000 for income-qualified homeowners to switch from electric heating to a high-efficiency air-source heat pump. This includes:

✅ Whole Home Rebate

  • Up to $12,000 for centrally ducted systems

  • $9,000 for mini-split or multi-split systems

  • Covers up to 80% of your home’s heating

✅ Partial Home Rebate

  • Up to $5,000

  • For homes where the heat pump covers at least 50% of heating

✅ Two-Upgrade Bonus

  • $350 extra rebate if you pair your heat pump with another eligible home energy upgrade

💡 Why Switch to a Heat Pump?

  • Lower Your Energy Bills: Heat pumps use up to 3x less electricity than baseboards or electric furnaces.

  • Stay Comfortable Year-Round: One system provides both heating and cooling.
